I love fall weather - not just for the sweaters - but also because I finally get to wear the boots that have been sitting in storage all summer. There are so many creative ways to storage your boots. My only rule is to get them off the ground so they aren’t collecting dust! Here are some ideas on how to do so in your space.
My absolute favorite method - hang them with hanger clips on a rod. Install your own by using a tension shower rod!
This simple mudroom shows that the boots are the stars! Style them on the shelves as you would any of your other decor.
There’s no rule that says your boots need to sit on the lowest shelf. Store them anywhere you like in a storage cabinet - just like in this beautiful mudroom.
Use a deep bench in your entry way to hid winter boots. Add a tray in the bottom that’s filled with small stones and pebbles so that melting snow & ice don’t accumulate at the bottom of the bench.
This hack I learned from a dear friend. Rather than buying expensive boot shapers, use pool noodles! Cut to size & voila - you’ve got an upright boot.
Install a shelving unit that has removable shelves. This allows you to adjust the height of each shelf to accomodate even those over the knee boots.
To avoid getting rain, dirt, melting snow, etc. all over your floors - create a cork board mat for your mudroom or entry way just like Earnest Home Co.
We love this idea from Etsy retailer A and B Furniture UK. Rather than making a rack that goes on the floor - they lifted boots off the ground for easy mudroom storage.
Stash boots in tall baskets. You can even label them for each member of the family just like Trey & Lucy.
