Lazy Girl’s Guide to Keeping Whites White
I’m tired of my whites getting dingy and stained! But I don’t want to spend a lot of time or money keeping them white. I tested out how to keep my white’s pristine using household products that I know swear by.
Here are the items you should keep in your laundry basket.
Here’s what to do now that you’ve got your laundry essentials assembled.
Immediately remove the white garment when you’re done wearing it (and put on that spare shirt!).
Spray areas that tend to yellow or discolor - armpits, collar, and cuffs with the vinegar/water solution.
For any stains, spot treat my gently brushing in the baking soda paste.
Let sit overnight (or longer if it’s not time for a load of white laundry). Use the hanger to the let the garment dry if it’s wet or sweaty.
When you have enough whites for a load, wash according to label directions (I prefer cold water so that my clothes don’t shrink).
This formula is great for all fibers - synthetic and natural!
